While winter has certainly made itself known across the region, things are anything but slow here at GSBN! Despite the cooler days and darker evenings, our business community continues to show up, connect, and support one another – and we’re incredibly thankful for it.
July has already been a packed month with plenty of highlights, including our July After 5 Networking Event hosted by Stephen’s Jewellers at Shepparton Foodshare, and the official launch of the 2025 Greater Shepparton Business Festival, which promises an exciting calendar of free events and workshops across August. It’s fantastic to see so many local businesses actively participating, collaborating, and making the most of these opportunities.
We are also in the thick of the 2025 Greater Shepparton SPC Business Excellence Awards, with nominations rolling in and finalist presentations well underway. There’s still plenty of time to nominate!
From upcoming events to grant opportunities and member welcomes, this edition is packed with everything you need to stay connected and informed. So, grab a warm drink, settle in, and catch up on all the latest from GSBN!
Last Wednesday evening, GSBN members and guests gathered for the July After 5 Networking Event, hosted by Platinum Member Stephen’s Jewellers. The event was held at the newly established Shepparton Foodshare facility in Mooroopna, offering attendees the opportunity to explore this purpose-built space while connecting with others in the local business community.
Guests heard from Stephen Schneider, founder of Stephen’s Jewellers and GSBN President, who shared the story behind the business’s continued growth and passion for community engagement. Stephen’s Jewellers, with a rich local history dating back generations, continues to be a proud supporter of the Greater Shepparton region.
The event also highlighted the incredible work being done by Shepparton Foodshare, with guests being able to hear their story from Dee Healey EO and take a guided tour around the facility and gain insight into how the organisation is helping to address food insecurity across the region.
From genuine conversations and new connections to delicious catering by People Supporting People and a shared sense of purpose, the evening was a fantastic celebration of community, collaboration, and local leadership.
A big thank you to Stephen’s Jewellers for hosting, and to everyone who came along to be part of another successful GSBN Networking Event!
