General Questions

The Greater Shepparton SPC Business Excellence Awards celebrate and recognise the outstanding achievements, innovation, and contribution of businesses and individuals across the Greater Shepparton region. They are an opportunity to highlight business excellence, community leadership, and the positive impact local businesses have on our regional economy and lifestyle.

Any business or individual located within the Greater Shepparton region is eligible to be nominated, provided they meet the criteria for an award category. Businesses must operate in the region and demonstrate excellence in line with the values and standards outlined in the award descriptions.

Anyone can nominate a business or individual – including customers, clients, employees, employers, suppliers, community members, and even the business itself (self-nominations are welcome and encouraged!).

No, there is no cost involved in submitting a nomination.

Nominations open on Wednesday 14 May 2025 and close on Friday 22 August 2025. Be sure to submit your nominations before the deadline, as late nominations will not be accepted.

The full list of categories and sponsors is available on the Award Categories page of the GSBN website, which can be found here – www.gsbn.net.au/award-categories

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of nominations we receive, individual feedback is not provided. However, we encourage all nominees to continue striving for excellence and to consider reapplying in future years.

Nomination Process

Nominations can be submitted online via the GSBN website. Simply visit www.gsbn.net.au/award-categories, select the category relevant to your nominee, and complete the online form. A downloadable PDF version of each nomination form is also available. If you are self-nominating, please use the designated self-nomination forms.

Yes, you can nominate a business in more than one category if they meet the eligibility criteria for each. However, separate nomination forms must be completed for each category.

Absolutely! There’s no limit to how many businesses or individuals you can nominate. Each nomination must be submitted separately.

You’ll need to provide your details, the nominee’s details, your association with them, and comprehensive information about why you believe they should be recognised. This could include examples of excellence in customer service, innovation, leadership, community involvement, sustainability, or business growth.

Strong nominations are detailed, specific, and highlight how the business or individual excels in their field. Include achievements, stories, measurable outcomes, testimonials, and any relevant evidence to support your nomination.

Once submitted, your nomination will be reviewed, and the nominees will be contacted to provide further information to support the nomination. Shortlisted finalists will be contacted and will receive an invitation to an upcoming finalist presentation.

If you need to make a correction or update, please contact the GSBN team at admin@gsbn.net.au as soon as possible before the nomination deadline.
