Awards Process
The 2024 Greater Shepparton’s SPC Business Excellence Awards are now open for entry. These awards are open to any business operating throughout the Greater Shepparton Region.
From July to September we invite customers, clients and businesses to nominate. With 14 Award Categories available, what makes a business or individual in business stand out to you, we want to know who they are – and let’s
face it, they probably wouldn’t mind hearing it too!
We encourage businesses to promote the Business Excellence Awards by displaying the Nomination QR code online and instore or providing entry forms for their customers or clients so they may participate.
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly finalists (depending on category) will be assessed and awarded with a framed certificate throughout the awards period.
Judging Process
Our judging process relies on the generosity of an independent judging panel who are experienced and respected in their fields, representing a variety of industry sectors.
The judging process consists of three components:
1. Initial Nomination – depending on the category, initial nominations can be submitted by customers, clients, staff, or even by self-nomination.
2. Follow up submission by the nominee reflecting on the key criteria questions provided to them upon receipt of initial nomination. Entries are judged based on the information provided in the application and the response to all application questions. The judges will assess applications against pre-established criteria for each question and utilise a numerical grading system.
Nominees should reflect on achievements, goals, and your strategic business plan to assist in the preparation of your entry and provide you with the best opportunity to submit a competitive application.
3. Finalist visit – our judges will carry out site visits to ALL Business Excellence Awards finalists. These visits will commence between 1-10 October, 2024 and will provide our judges with the opportunity to see you/your business
in action and discuss the category specific criteria.
Each of our category winners will be announced at the Greater Shepparton’s SPC Business Excellence Awards Presentation Gala Dinner on the evening of Friday 25 October, 2024.
