Entrants are required to demonstrate their commitment over the past 12 months to being an outstanding start-up. This category is open to new businesses in the Greater Shepparton region trading for a period of less than 24 months.

This award will recognise outstanding achievements by a food and agribusiness business within Greater Shepparton that has demonstrated a commitment to innovation, excellence and business practices that seek to grow and shape the future of agribusiness in the region.
Eligible businesses must be able to demonstrate they are engaged in substantially earning its revenue from agriculture. This includes, but is not limited to, farming, food processing, and manufacturing and/or distribution of agricultural products such as Regionally Grown produce (supply, sales, value adding), Dairy Producers, Livestock Producers, Aquaculture Producers, Wholesale food suppliers, Food Manufacturing and Farmers Markets.

Visitor Experience of the Year

Simply have your customers or clients nominate you. Or why not self-nominate if you believe you have what it takes!

Open to all businesses operating in the Greater Shepparton Region offering a visitor experience and/or servicing the tourism industry that can demonstrate their commitment to consistently delivering an exceptional visitor experience over the past 12 months. This award recognises a significant contribution of businesses to tourism through the provision of food and beverage, accommodation, events, experiences or attractions.
Entry is open – but not limited to – restaurants, event caterers, pubs and cafés, wineries, distilleries, cideries and boutique breweries that offer a cellar door experience. Visitor attractions such as museums, galleries, or businesses that offer experiences such workshops, tours or events.  Accommodation operators including caravan parks, motels, hotels, bed and breakfast and self-contained accommodation.

This award recognises businesses that have applied innovation through new knowledge, technologies, methodologies or processes to improve the effectiveness or quality of outcomes for their clients, community and/or the public sector.

Applicants should validate their innovation through their use of new technologies, data analytics, modelling or visualisation.  Applicants need to demonstrate significant innovation in either management and/or business practices or in their products or services. Applicants need to be able to show how this innovation has given them a “competitive edge” in the marketplace.
