Business and Community Sport Flood Recovery Grants
Flood recovery grants for small businesses, not-for-profit and community sport organisations directly affected by the 2022 Victorian floods.
Tier 1 – Up to $25,000 is available with evidence of direct damage and an outline of expected recovery costs. To make a claim under Tier 1 you can provide evidence of either estimated or actual costs. You must first apply for Tier 1 before progressing to Tier 2.
Tier 2 – Tier 2 encompasses subsequent grant payments totaling over $25,000, up to $50,000, which can be reimbursed with full evidence of payment for recovery costs (tax invoices and official receipts). This evidence of payment must also include any amounts initially claimed under Tier 1, including the initial $5000 grant.

Business Relief Service
The Small Business Mentoring Service have been engaged by Business Victoria and have a team of 50+ staff ready to provide a free and confidential one-on-one support (including assistance with funding applications) to flood-affected business owners, community sporting clubs and not-for profits by their local business relief advisers via telephone and on the ground. Simply they are ‘case management’ for business.

The Shepparton and Goulburn Valley region now has the opportunity to leverage online sales through the support of Visit Victoria’s Click for Vic campaign, as part of our flood recovery.
This is a great platform to showcase our regions products and produce that is available for purchase online. Click for Vic provided significant contribution to the support and recovery of businesses affected by bushfires across the state in 2019/2020. As well as supporting businesses through the covid-19 pandemic.
The Click for Vic web pages are managed by Visit Victoria and feature a selection of products that will inspire Victorians to support the local tourism industry. As the state’s tourism marketing agency, their focus is on the people and businesses that contribute to the states reputation as a great place to visit.

16 Days of Activism Launch – Through a Worker’s Eyes
To celebrate the launch of the 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence campaign, the Greater Shepparton Family Violence Prevention Network invites the community to attend the “Through a Worker’s Eyes” Luncheon.The 16 Days of Activism (16 Days) is a global campaign dedicated to raising awareness about violence against women, and the impact of gender-based violence. The campaign starts on the 25th of November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and concludes on the 10th of December, the International Day of Human Rights Day. These dates were chosen in order to symbolically link violence against women with human rights issues. In particular, this campaign emphasises the fact that violence, in any form, is a violation of human rights.The event will feature speaker’s from local organisations that support the prevention, response and recovery of gender based violence.Speakers will share their insights and experiences of:– The importance of primary prevention education- The collective organisational responses to community members impacted by gender based violence- Supporting survivors through the journey to recoveryCome and meet your local organisations to support a community that Calls out gender based violence in all its forms.
