Shepparton Policy & Advocacy Regional Roundtable
The Victorian Chamber is excited to engage with our regional members and update businesses following our successful Regional Election Platform in 2022.
Regional Victoria is vital to our state’s prosperity, supporting strong economic performance and job creation.
The Victorian Regional Roundtables will help us connect with regional members and business chambers, as well as build on our relationships and provide updates to local members.

Chamber Change Program – Bendigo Expressions of Interest
The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and industry are planning to host their women in business, Chamber Change program in Bendigo on Thursday 24 August 2023. This survey is to determine participation interest, so we can source an appropriately sized venue. There will be no charge for current VCCI members to attend this day.
The program will include the following:
- Special Guest Speaker
- Chamber Change Champion speakers (senior executive women in business)
- Victorian Chamber Expert sessions
- Networking workshop
- Including Lunch & afternoon tea
Session timings approximately 10:00am to 4:00pm (arrival 9:30am)

Optus Small Business Grant
Optus Business has partnered with Shepparton Chamber of Commerce and Industry to award up to 5 Shepparton Chamber Member businesses with a share of a $15,000 grant to create customisable and flexible technology solutions from Optus Business Plus to meet the unique evolving needs of the Australian business market.
The window of opportunity for businesses of the Greater Shepparton region to apply for a share of a $15,000 Optus grant is fast approaching, with the deadline being Sunday, April 30th.

Optus Business Plus Mentorship Grant
Optus Business is giving mentorship grants, worth $5,000 each to two lucky small business owners and $1,000 to twenty lucky small business owners.
Optus Business Plus gives Australian small businesses the technology solutions they need to evolve and innovate. To further support SMEs on this journey, Optus is giving two lucky business owners the opportunity to win a $5,000 worth of credits towards Optus products and services and a 1:1 mentorship session with Optus Business Plus Mentors – Jo Burston or Jamal Elsheikh.
Optus will also give an additional twenty lucky business owners the opportunity to win $1,000 worth of credits towards Optus products and services.

Events and Business Awards Sub Committee Members
The Shepparton Chamber of Commerce and Industry is growing, transforming and entering into a new and exciting phase in the Greater Shepparton region and are now seeking expressions of interest to fill positions on their volunteer Events and Business Awards Sub Committees.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a committed Board in an independent and member-based organisation that works to support, deliver networking events, educate, protect and encourage business growth opportunities and be a Voice in the Greater Shepparton region.
Sub Committee Members work closely with the Executive, Administration and other Board Members to guide the Chamber operations and financial performance and represent our diverse business members in the Greater Shepparton Community.
Skills and Experience
To match existing skills and experience of other Board and Sub Committee Members, we are seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience and expertise in the areas of business, events and training. This is a hands on role providing a great opportunity to build new relationships within the vibrant Greater Shepparton business community.

The Shepparton Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently working on our Events and Training Calendar to provide a regular calendar of events and activities to its Members with these to include Business Breakfasts and After 5 Networking Events held at the business place of our hosting Member.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from local cafes or catering businesses to provide menu options and costings for these and other events for consideration.
