As we approach the end of another year, it is a good time to reflect and say thank you.
2022 has been another strange, and often difficult, year for our community and businesses across Greater Shepparton. But the resilience and commitment shown by our community is to be admired and celebrated.
At the Chamber, we were able to reintroduce face-to-face events this year with business breakfasts; we raised awareness of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace in partnership with GV BRaIN over dinner with Anna Meares, Olympic – Gold and Bronze medallist, and we saw the return of the Business Excellence Awards. Finally getting to celebrate 25 years of Business Excellence in Greater Shepparton with some 460 guests at the White King-Pental Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on Friday 9th December.
We have also continued campaigning, with our wider Chamber network to get the support needed for businesses. We encourage business leaders to get in touch with us if they have concerns or need guidance. We are here to help the Greater Shepparton business community, and we are able to do so through the continued support of business through membership and partnership.
Looking ahead into 2023, we will offer a variety of events and look forward to not only putting them in our calendars but being confident that they will be able to go ahead!
But it’s now time for the Shepparton Chamber of Commerce to take a well-earned break so that we can start 2023 with a bang! The Chamber office will be closing from December 21st at 3pm and will reopen January 9th 2023.
From the whole Chamber team, I wish you all happy holidays, and hope for a new year full of growth and success.
